AEFYT and AFEC to become co-organisers of the 2018 Eurovent Summit

Next edition of Europe’s HVACR flagship event to take place in Seville, Spain

Madrid, 26 June 2017. During a dedicated meeting in Madrid, representatives of AEFYT (Spanish Association for Refrigeration Technology), AFEC (Spanish Association for Manufacturers of Air Conditioning Equipment) and the Eurovent Association have signed an agreement to jointly organise the 2018 Eurovent Summit. It was announced that the next edition of Europe’s major gathering for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies is going to take place in Seville, Spain, from 25 to 28 September.

The 2018 EUROVENTSUMMIT is all about ¡Conectividad! It is going to provide a platform for close to 500 representatives of leading manufacturers, consultants, planners and trade associations from Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa and Latin America. As one of the many highlights of the event, the Eurovent member associations AEFYT and AFEC are going to host a dedicated day with high-quality seminars in English and Spanish.

Ms Pilar Budí (Director General of AFEC) states: ‘The Eurovent Summit is an important international event and the most interesting meeting place for the HVACR industry in Europe. This platform brings together the main representatives of our sector and will discuss important issues such as technology evolution, environmental protection, European legislation, refrigerants, and the quality of facilities. A key focus will be put on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the use of energy from renewable sources. All issues will be linked to our guiding theme ¡Conectividad!’

Mr Roberto Solsona (President of AEFYT) adds: ‘At AEFYT, we consider the Eurovent Summit as an excellent opportunity to exchange professional experiences while creating synergies between the various stakeholders that shape our HVCAR industry. We are going to provide a magnificent space for the creation of new and interesting professional relationships.’

The last edition of the EUROVENTSUMMIT took place in Krakow, Poland, in September 2016. In total, 37 meetings, 3 seminars, and 4 flagship events took place over the course of four days, involving 26 speakers. Besides working group meetings of the organisers, the 2016 EUROVENTSUMMIT hosted meetings of the European Standardization Committee, REHVA, and a dedicated Polish seminar called ‘Indoor Climate 2030’.
