Istanbul, 9 January 2018. ISK-SODEX, one of the largest HVACR exhibitions in the Eurasian region, will bring together national and international brands in Turkey. The tradeshow is run in collaboration with Turkey’s leading bodies and organisations in the industry and will take place from 7-10 February 2018. Eurovent is an official supporter of the event.
Organised biennially since 1997 by Hannover Messe Sodeks Fuarcılık, the Turkish subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, the 2016 ISK-SODEX brought together 1.200 companies from 47 countries and over 83.000 visitors from 107 countries. Many buyers, editors and foundation representatives from around the world came to Istanbul under the International Hosted Buyer programme, supported by the Ministry of Economy, and had the chance to meet Turkish exporters in B2B meetings.
This year, the exhibition organisers are preparing to host over 80.000 visitors with exhibitors from about 50 countries worldwide. Alexander Kühnel, General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcılık states in this respect: “Considering the export data for the air conditioning industry, we see that developed countries such as Germany, UK and Italy are strategic markets for Turkey. ISK-SODEX will be an event where we will bring together expert exhibitors and visitors from all the target markets. We will conduct supporting programmes and offer new opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to meet, make business connections and exchange information and experience for the duration of the exhibition.”
Highlighting the fact that the air-conditioning sector is a major production area of the Turkish industry, Kühnel continues: “The HVACR industry grew by 8% in the first nine months of 2017, which represents a major export contribution of 2.8 billion dollars. It is very important to display this industry development at an international exhibition. This year, ISK-SODEX expects exhibitors from a large spectrum of areas, such as heating, cooling, air conditioning, ventilation, insulation, pump, valve, installation, water treatment and solar energy systems. We will also display new trends, such as Energy Efficiency and Building Automation systems. Our new exhibition area will hold a great event, which the industry deserves and our visitors will have a powerful experience with the enriched range of products.”
This year’s edition of ISK-SODEX will take place in TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in collaboration of ISKAV, DOSIDER, The Eurovent Member Association ISKID, IZODER, TTMD, POMSAD, SOSİAD, ESSİAD, MTMD and KBSB. The exhibition will be restructured in accordance with growth rate of the industry. Its new layout will provide for an interesting display, allowing the industry to demonstrate its full potential.
