Industry recommendations for energy efficient indoor air quality solutions

Eurovent Middle East, the region’s industry association for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, will host an expert’s meet & greet on Monday, 20 February 2023 at the Radisson in Riyadh. Set alongside the HVAC&R Expo Saudi, the event will feature expert presentations on minimum requirements for Air Handling Units and Air Filtration, recommendations for the selection of the best equipment and critical aspects of providing a safe air environment to hospitals and operating theatres.

The partnership intends to enhance cooperation on standardisation and capacity building

The Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) and Eurovent signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the 5 Years Anniversary Congress of Eurovent’s Middle East chapter. The partnership will bring closer cooperation on standardisation and capacity building and facilitate exchange of expertise between the two organisations.

Association invites government and industry executives to its 5 years anniversary congress

Eurovent Middle East, the region’s Industry Association for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration has announced its 5 years anniversary congress titled ‘HVACR Next Generation: Rethinking policies and strategies’, which takes place on 13-14 September at the LeMeridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. Government representatives, authorities and industry executives will exchange on the most pressing issues of the industry and discuss policies and strategies for the next decade.

The association for the region’s HVACR industry concludes its third year of activities

Eurovent Middle East has published its Annual Report of 2019, looking back on its activities in its third year of existence. Started in January 2017 with 22 members, the association has grown to currently 46 members and in 2019 implemented dedicated working groups for technical and regulatory issues for Cooling, Air Treatment, Refrigeration and Evaporative Cooling. The Eurovent Middle East Annual Report 2019 can be downloaded via this link.

Position Paper outlines benefits and implications of introducing mandatory building inspection activities

Eurovent Middle East has published a Position Paper outlining the socio-economic benefits of introducing a mandatory building inspection regime in the UAE. In light of numerous efforts by government, industries and professional organisations to increase energy efficiency and the countries dependency on cooling and refrigeration, the association suggests giving HVACR installations in the current building stock particular attention.

Next edition of Europe’s HVACR flagship event to take place in Antalya, Turkey

Representatives of ISKID (Turkey’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association) and Eurovent signed an agreement to jointly organise the 2020 EUROVENTSUMMIT. They announced that the next edition of Europe’s major gathering for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from 22 to 25 September 2020.

Organisations announce cooperation in the fields of safety and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

Dubai, 22 May 2019. UL and Eurovent Middle East have announced their cooperation in the region to work towards higher safety standards in relation to HVAC equipment and installations. Both organisations also will form a joint working group to develop initiatives for improved Indoor Air Quality. To underline this cooperation, UL takes an Associate Membership with Eurovent Middle East.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, 30 January 2019. The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) and Eurovent Middle East have announced the formation of a joint working group to develop Conformity Assessment Schemes for Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units. The association of the region’s leading HVACR manufacturers will encourage organisation and coordination of industry stakeholders and is calling on interested manufacturers to join the working group.
