Europe’s leading manufactures of Air Handling Units (AHUs) are currently developing a comprehensive methodology for Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis. The future Eurovent Recommendation is going to establish a new standard for LCC calculation on the market. The new methodology will contribute to a level-playing field for all manufacturers. It is going to provide a straight-forward and sound way to estimate the total costs related to AHUs throughout the entire lifespan of the system.

Long-serving Chairmen Kees van Haperen and Gunnar Berg pass on leadership to younger generation

Zoetermeer, 5 October 2017. During their meeting of the Eurovent Association Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’ in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, members have elected Mr Martin Lenz (TROX GmbH, Germany) as their Chairman and Mr Andy Bijmans (Systemair B.V, Netherlands) as their Vice-Chairman. The two take on their positions from Mr Kees van Haperen (Rosenberg, Netherlands) and Mr Gunnar Berg (Swegon, Sweden). Van Haperen had been leading the Product Group since 2002. Both of them had been active participants since the 1990s and now decided to pass their Chairmanship on to a new generation.

Müller will be the first-ever Swiss to chair Europe’s major grouping of manufacturers of energy recovery devices for ventilation

He is one of Europe’s leading experts in this field and Managing Partner at POLYBLOC AG (Switzerland) – a pioneer in advanced heat recovery systems, which has been producing heat exchangers since 1982.

Members of the Eurovent Association and Eurovent Middle East jointly raise awareness on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) through a wide-ranging, interactive, open-source campaign

During an online press conference, the Eurovent Association (Brussels) and Eurovent Middle East (Dubai) have officially launched #IAQmatters – a joint initiative of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) manufacturers in Europe and the Middle East, which provides solutions to ensure a healthy indoor climate. #IAQmatters was developed in close cooperation with leading experts such as Prof. Geo Clausen from the Section for Indoor Climate and Building Physics at Denmark Technical University (DTU). Prof. Stefano Cognati, President of REHVA, is one of the campaign’s patrons.

The first edition provides for a hands-on introduction to air filters for general ventilation

Brussels, 3 April 2017. The Product Group ‘Air Filters’ within the Eurovent Association has released the first edition of its guidebook ‘Air Filters for General Ventilation’. On 28 pages, the document provides for a hands-on introduction to all important aspects related to air filters. It constitutes the first of many measures within Eurovent’s upcoming #IAQmatters awareness raising campaign.

European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) and Eurovent jointly provide new guidance to market on Ecodesign and Energy labelling rules for ventilation units

Brussels, 8 March 2017. The European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) and the Eurovent Association have come together to release the third edition of a joint comprehensive FAQ on Ecodesign and Energy labelling requirements for ventilation units. It aims to provide answers to the many questions the market still has concerning EU Regulations 1253/2014 and 1254/2014 to ensure their proper implementation.
