‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’ is a seminar series by Eurovent Middle East, tailor-made for engineering and MEP consultants, investors, and planners in the Middle East, with the core aim of informing them about standards and industry recommendations in the field of ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. The non-commercial, free-of-charge seminars are spread across multiple workshops.
In this ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ by Eurovent Middle East, leading industry experts elaborated on evaporative cooling technologies and cooling towers. The Workshop saw the official launch of Eurovent Middle East’s Cooling Tower Guidebook, a comprehensive summary and guidance to this kind of equipment. While evaporative cooling is generally more efficient than dry cooling, using the difference in dry and wet bulb temperatures, the questions arises if the required water consumption is sustainable in a notoriously dry environment. The Workshop discussed this aspect and outlined design, installation, and operation recommendations.
