‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’ is a seminar series by Eurovent Middle East, tailor-made for engineering and MEP consultants, investors and planners in the Middle East, with the core aim of informing them about standards and industry recommendations in the field of ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The non-commercial, free-of-charge seminars are spread across multiple workshops.

In this ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ by Eurovent Middle East, leading industry experts elaborated on technologies best suited to retrofitting in supermarkets in order to significantly reduce energy consumption. Commercial refrigeration systems consume the most energy within supermarkets, accounting for about 40-60% of electricity consumption according to various studies in the market. Purchase of new, high-efficiency refrigeration equipment has cost implications, which is why making targeted retrofits or upgrades to existing systems could be the most cost-effective and practical strategy for many food retailers, supermarket owners and chains.
