Throughout the activities of Eurovent Middle East and its members, several core issues prevail that receive particular attention. Core issues within the industry include:
We raise awareness on the importance of a healthy indoor air supply among the public and policymakers and provide practical solutions.
We support strong measures that require manufacturers to decrease the energy consumption of their products. We encourage end users, consultants, and developers to utilise products, which will increase energy efficiency within their buildings.
We regard proper product maintenance as key to ensure product performances both in terms of energy efficiency and health and well-being.
We advocate the global phase-down of refrigerants with a high Global Warming Potential (GWP) through the guiding principles of the European Union ‘F-Gas Regulation’.
We encourage a stronger and more visible market surveillance and inspection by authorities in the Middle East and support them in doing so.
As the region’s HVACR industry association, we support the need for standardisation and a level playing field. Information is of paramount importance to us; through active dissemination on standards and regulations in the region. Eurovent Middle East places emphasis on frequent exchange with regulatory authorities in the region and seeks to improve the awareness in the market about harmonisation.
