This document was drawn up in order to assess the definitions, test conditions, forms of test and test installations required to determine the nominal thermal, aeraulic and hydraulic characteristics of packaged air conditioning units and to verify their fitness for purpose by means of the following tests: test for operation at maximum temperature, test for operation at low temperature, test for non-condensation on casing, test for evacuation of condensate. This document includes English, French, German and Italian versions.

For most of the product manufactured for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry no specific test code existed for the assessment of the noise levels generated by these products. Consequently, it was often not possible to compare the noise levels of different products on a realistic basis, or reliably estimate the noise levels of such products when installed in their operating environment. This test code was prepared in order to provide a reasoned means of comparison between products and to enable purchasers of such equipment to estimate the noise levels which would be generated by the installed equipment. This document is available only in English.

The scope of this Eurovent Industry Recommendation / Code of Good Practice is to define the classification of air curtain units, to specify the requirements and test methods to calculate air curtain energy performance and define the methods to calculate air curtain efficiency and building energy savings obtained by using them. This document is available in English.

This Eurovent document specifies a method for measuring the water rejection performance of louvres, subject to simulated rain and wind pressures, both with and without air flow through the louvre test. For the purpose of this test, a 1000 mm x 1000 mm section of wether louvre or the nearest possible blade increment is to be tested. The first edition of Eurovent 2/5 was published in 1985. Since that time, the work has been carried out in the CEN/TC 156, in order to prepare a new European Standard needed to support essential requirement of EC Directives. The present edition, approved by Eurovent WG 2, is conform to the projected European Standard. This document is available in English.

The purpose of this document is to describe the measurement method of the cooling (sensible and latent) and heating capacities and the various characteristics of ducted fan coil units at one selected speed with a available static pressure equal to 50Pa at medium speed. The test results describe the performance of the FC in the real condition of build installation where, as usual, the static pressure is fixed at medium speed. This document is available in English.
