Are mandatory building inspections key to unlock the energy saving potential in the Middle East? Eurovent Middle East thinks about the socio-economic benefits regular inspections of HVACR installations would provide to a country, its people and the industry.

Lack of maintenance, improper installations and operations of HVACR installations are all too common and amount to the most significant energy saving potential in existing buildings. The industry estimates that up to 30% of the energy currently used by cooling and ventilation could be saved by following maintenance and operation protocols.

Eurovent Middle East has published a Position Paper on mandatory Building Inspections and their socio-economic benefits, from improved energy consumption and indoor air quality to the creation of thousands of new jobs and the strengthening of supply and service industries.
