After eight conferences in Europe, the 9th International conference on Energy Efficiency in Domestic Appliances and Lighting (EEDAL) took place in Irvine, California, USA. EEDAL is becoming an international event and the 10th EEDAL conference will take place in China, co-organised with the China National Institute of Standardization.

The Middle East’s HVACR industry association continues expansion

Rheem has joined the Eurovent chapter in the Middle East, expanding the association’s membership base to more than 45 members. Respected for reliability, Rheem is nearly a hundred years old American company that operates in three main business verticals, which are Air Conditioning, Water Heating and Refrigeration. The company owns renowned brands such as Rheem®, Ruud®, Russell, Raypak®, Richmond® and Sure Comfort®. In the Middle East region, Rheem has been serving for more than thirty years and has installed over a million tons of Air Conditioning equipment and thousands of Water Heaters through its extensive distribution and service network.

Eurovent Middle East kicks off the new year with its first ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ focusing on reducing the energy bill in the food cold chain

Eurovent Middle East has announced the next event within its ‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’ series, which is going to focus on cost savings within the food cold chain and takes place at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on 28 January 2019 from 18:00 to 21:00h. The non-commercial, free-of-charge seminar will see leading industry experts in this field elaborate on key technologies and strategies to reduce energy consumption in the food cold chain. 

The Middle East’s HVACR industry association expands its membership base

Hamon Cooling Tower Company has become member of the Eurovent Middle East association. The company is being recognised as one of the market leaders in the cooling tower sector and places a specific focus on the manufacturing of large cooling systems, process heat exchangers, heat recovery equipment, chimneys and waste boilers - to name just a few.

Free energy labelling tool to support efficient choices in heating systems

Initiated in 2015 by ESTIF, the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation, and funded by the European Commission, an online tool for calculating solar devices using the SOLCAL method is under development. The test version allows users to try it out and provide feedback about the tool to the LabelPack A+ consortium. This consortium includes Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and the United Kingdom, where national pilot projects have been developed. The main aim is to provide a tool to calculate the energy label heating packages containing various components, such as boilers, heat pumps, water heaters, storage tanks and solar panels.

New Eurovent Extranet feature launched

Your feedback matters to us. The Eurovent Team is constantly working on the further development of the Eurovent online portal. The latest, recently launched feature allows members to properly prepare for their meetings by downloading all meeting documents at one click as a ZIP file – instead of one by one.
