Joint event of Eurovent, Eurovent Middle East and Eurovent Certita Certification

The Association invites to a webinar to discuss the energy efficiency of Air Handling Units in hot and humid conditions. As a crucial part of a cooling and ventilation system, Air Handling Units can be built to a multitude of customer specifications and operating environments. Since January 2022, Eurovent has mandated its certified manufacturers to disclose the energy ratings for hot and humid climates when the products are sold in such environments.

Eurovent Middle East emphasises the use of ISO 16890 as reference standard for air filtration in general ventilation

The Association has published an Industry Recommendation to encourage exclusive use of ISO 16890 as the reference standard for air filtration in general ventilation and will host a dedicated webinar on 09 June 2021 to outline its importance and explain the correct selection process for air filtration products under this classification. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, adherence to the latest standards in air conditioning and ventilation is a critical factor to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and safety in buildings.

Association underlines its commitment to sustainable cooling

Dubai, 20 April 2021. Eurovent Middle East, the region’s HVACR industry association, has become a member of the Cool Coalition, a global initiative led by UN Environment and the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Programme. The initiative promotes a holistic and cross-sectoral approach to meet the cooling needs of both industrialised and developing countries through better building design, energy efficiency, renewables, and thermal storage as well as phasing down refrigerants with a high global warming potential.

Improvement of ventilation and air filtration systems in existing buildings key to safer indoor environments

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) to the health and welfare of building inhabitants. Insufficient air filtration and ventilation has proven to increase the risk of airborne viral transmission in closed spaces. While the need to improve IAQ has always been a public health priority, it is now an urgent necessity with far reaching economic and employment impacts. To ensure the safe operation of buildings, improvements to ventilation and air filtration systems need to be placed in focus.

Eurovent Middle East to provide technical expertise on technologies to significantly improve energy savings in supermarkets

Eurovent Middle East has announced the next webinar within its HVACR Leadership Workshops series, focusing on technologies best suited to retrofitting in supermarkets in order to reduce energy consumption. Commercial refrigeration systems account for about 40-60% of the electricity consumption in supermarkets according to various studies in the market. Purchase of new, high-efficiency refrigeration equipment has cost implications, which is why targeted retrofits or upgrades to existing systems can be the most cost-effective and practical strategy for many food retailers, supermarket owners and chains.

Industry Association continues its ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ series with next live webinar

Quality control, product performance and safety are topics which are being focused on more and more in a world driven by price competitiveness. Although manufacturers run stringent quality control and performance tests in-house, third-party testing and certification serves as a means to verify and ensure that the data published by manufacturers is unbiased and attested. During this webinar, the seminars aim to deliver an understanding of the principles behind certification as a means to promote trust and reliability in the context of product performance and safety.

Next edition of Europe’s HVACR flagship event to take place in Antalya, Turkey

Representatives of ISKID (Turkey’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association) and Eurovent signed an agreement to jointly organise the 2020 EUROVENTSUMMIT. They announced that the next edition of Europe’s major gathering for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from 22 to 25 September 2020.

First certification programme to accommodate Middle East conditions

Dubai, 30 May 2019. Following a discussion with Eurovent Middle East members and participants of the VRF certification programme, Eurovent Certita Certification adopted the addition of high ambient temperature conditions to its certification programme for variable refrigerant flow systems. Tailormade for the Middle East market, products can now be certified to display their performance in hot or very hot climatic environments.
