During its Annual Meeting on 22 March 2022, members of the Association of the Region’s Leading HVACR manufacturers re-elected Mr Tariq Al Ghussein (CEO, Taqeef), as President, supported by Mr Rafael Van Eijcken (General Manager, Baltimore Aircoil) as Vice-President. Eurovent Middle East showed strong resilience during the pandemic years, which also manifested in the attendance of 40 representatives from its members, the highest number yet for an Annual Meeting.

The Association has published an Industry Recommendation to encourage exclusive use of ISO 16890 as the reference standard for air filtration in general ventilation and will host a dedicated webinar on 09 June 2021 to outline its importance and explain the correct selection process for air filtration products under this classification. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, adherence to the latest standards in air conditioning and ventilation is a critical factor to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and safety in buildings.

Dubai, 20 September 2020. The transition in presidency is necessitated by a change of work assignment of the first and long-time President, Mr Brian Suggitt. Mr Suggitt has led the Association since its establishment, having earned respect and admiration from the industry for his integrity, commitment and amiability. He is succeeded by the current Vice President Mr Tariq Al Ghussein, CEO of Taqeef, one of the region’s foremost cooling and energy solutions providers.

With knowledge on the COVID-19 pandemic constantly evolving, Eurovent Middle East takes a closer look at ventilation aspects essential for the safe and continued use of our built infrastructure. The two-part webinar will cover a range of topics from Hygienic Air Handling Units, Energy Recovery and Air Recirculation to condition based monitoring and drives. It is designed for engineers, service providers and building operators alike.

Representatives of ISKID (Turkey’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association) and Eurovent signed an agreement to jointly organise the 2020 EUROVENTSUMMIT. They announced that the next edition of Europe’s major gathering for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from 22 to 25 September 2020.

The 2018 edition of Europe’s major gathering for key decision-makers in the area of Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies is going to take place from 25 to 28 September in Seville, Spain. It connects close to 500 industry leaders from Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and international markets throughout around 40 seminars, meetings, and events. Dubai, 12 April 2018. Eurovent Middle East has just announced a flagship workshop on Air Handling Units. The free-of-charge event is part of the association’s ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ series. It is going to take place at LeMeridien Dubai Airport on 30 April 2018 at 6PM and includes a networking dinner. With Mr Martin Lenz (Lead Development Engineer at TROX and Chairman of Eurovent’s Product Group AHU), Europe’s leading expert in this field is going to join the event.

The Eurovent Middle East association has announced the next edition of its free-of-charge ‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’, which is going to take place at LeMeridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on 26 March 2018. This time, leading air filtration experts from the UAE and Europe are going to elaborate on state-of-the-art air filtration, its effects on Indoor Air Quality and health. As a special guest, one of Europe’s leading filtration experts is going to provide a keynote presentation.
